Context on the opportunity or problem
Challenge assumptions and current thinking
Explore where digital or AI could add value
Identify the biggest unknowns or risks
Recommend a sensible next step
Is this just a sales call?
No. The goal is to understand the opportunity and give you a useful perspective on what to do next. Sometimes that leads to a Through.design engagement. Sometimes it doesn’t.
Do I need to prepare anything?
No deck or formal brief is required. Bring the problem, process, idea or opportunity as you currently understand it. Concrete examples always help.
What kind of opportunities can we discuss?
Anything where a digital system could materially improve how people make decisions or get work done — from manual workflows and disconnected data to AI opportunities and existing software that no longer works well.
What happens after the call?
You’ll leave with a clearer view of the opportunity and a recommended next step. If important uncertainties still need resolving before building, that next step may be a Frame engagement.
The process
From fuzzy opportunity to clearer next step
Bring it
Share the opportunity, messy workflow, product idea or problem that’s on your mind.
Frame
We explore what’s actually happening, who is affected and where the potential value might sit.
Challenge it
We test assumptions, separate symptoms from the underlying problem and surface what we still don’t know.
Choose the next move
We identify the most sensible next step, whether that’s Frame, Build, more internal work or simply doing nothing yet.
Sharper opportunity
A clearer articulation of what may actually be worth solving.
Outside perspective
A fresh challenge to assumptions, constraints and possible directions.
Key unknowns
Clarity on what still needs to be understood before making a larger investment.
Recommended next step
A practical view of what should happen next and whether further work is warranted.
Have something worth sparring about?
Bring the opportunity, problem or half-formed idea. We’ll figure out whether there’s something worth pursuing.
